The Fall of Data Science?

Back in 2001, the term "Data Science" was thrown into existence and ever since then, there has been meteoric rise in its usage and demand. Initially, the main focus was on building a framework and solution to store data. Now, when Hadoop and other frameworks have successfully solved the problem of storage, the focus has shifted to the processing of this data.

And that's great. But how is the grand scheme of this industry going to look for the workforce in it?


This article in a nutshell lists out what I consider to be the factors that determine an industry's peril and how these factors are not directly proportional to the growth of Data Science. Of course, we're talking about the long game here and not short term benefits.
